Nestled in the beautiful Bas-Saint-Laurent region, the Pointe-au-Père National Wildlife Reserve is a true natural treasure waiting to be discovered. Just a couple of hours' drive from major cities, it's the perfect spot to escape and reconnect with nature.
After a day of exploration, why not enjoy a picnic at one of the many viewpoints in the reserve? The tranquility of the area makes it a perfect setting to unwind.
The reserve is easily accessible from the city of Rimouski, about a 30-minute drive. A pleasant journey that quickly immerses you in nature.
Don’t forget to bring water, snacks, and sunscreen. The trails can get muddy in wet weather, so appropriate footwear is recommended. Also, remember to respect wildlife by keeping your distance.
West-facing, perfect for enjoying sunsets.
You may spot migratory birds, deer, and possibly seals along the coast.
Wear a helmet if hiking on rugged terrain. Bring a first aid kit and inform someone of your itinerary.
Follow the reserve's rules, including restrictions on camping and fires. Check the official website for details.
